The HotPod concept was conceived by our architectural team who were contacted by a family whose much loved relative had been diagnosed with an illness which suggested a long stay in hospital.
The family were aware that she was absolutely terrified of leaving her family and the familiar surroundings of the home that she had lived in for the greater part of her life, to go to hospital with all its associated risks.
As the home was not ideally suited or large enough to accommodate a full time carer, we were approached to design a suitable building that could be erected quickly and easily, was suitable for her needs, and could be dismantled quickly and easily after her restoration to health.
Thus the HotPod concept was born...
The HotPod system is modular with its two main components in plan form being an octagon and a square. These form an interlinking structure that can be added to infinitely if the need arises.
The system is constructed around a steel frame, which gives it immense strength and ease of construction – the highly insulated wall panels can match any the appearance of any surrounding buildings
